Cotes du Coeur is by far my favorite food and wine event/fundraiser in Dallas. I look forward to it every year and I feel so blessed to be able to attend! This year, I was particularly excited because it was the 25th anniversary!
It’s an evening with the best chefs and wineries one can possibly imagine! The festivities begin a few months prior to the gala. I had the pleasure of attending the Big Bottle party with my friend Becky. This was the kick off to all of the festivities!
In prior years, the gala has been at the Hilton Anatole. This year, however, it was at the Omni. It was really cool to be in Downtown Dallas for such a spectacular event. Over 1000 guests attended and they raised over $4 million and $1.2 million of that was raised that night during the silent auction.
My full time job is in fundraising, so I found this to be extremely exciting! The entire evening is very touching. The stories literally brought tears to my eyes. It’s so amazing to see the support and love from so many people in support of the American Heart Association.
As the largest charity wine auction in the Southwest, of course I must mention the food and wine…
18 celebrity chefs and 26 wineries from across the world…you know it was all fantastic!
Braised Veal Cheeks; Stephen Rogers; Gemma
Texas Wagyu Tartare; Chad Houser; Cafe Momentum
Duck Fat Seared Scallp; Dan Landsberg; Dragonfly
But, aside from the wonderful cause and the fabulous food, it’s simply a fun filled evening and a night to be remembered! If you have never been, I encourage you to attend and get involved in any way possible! To learn more about Cotes du Coeur, click here. And, for the American Heart Association, click here.
